Hey readers, Andre Harrison here, but you probably better know me as “Dre, that opinionated Sebastian Vettel fanboy from the Internet”.

I started making videos on the Internet back in 2008. It was nothing more than casual video blogs at first, needing an outlet from a rough period of school, but it evolved and became something much more. I went from video blogging, to pointing my Digital Camera at a screen while going 10-19 on Halo, to even playing Pokemon online for a while. I even thought I could be a decent Wrestling vlogger. But it wasn’t until 2011 did I found what I thought was my true calling in making gaming videos, and especially, in the space of Formula 1.

I had an amazing period of 4 years in that space, generating over 1.5 million YouTube views, and over 6,500 subscribers. But as time went on, I discovered that what I was doing, was making more journalistic content, in a space that was more dependent on quality gameplay, a factor I couldn’t match.

During this time, I was also taking a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of West London. Instead of a 10,000 word dissertation, I did a special project, and that was the #Motorsport101 Podcast. We did an original 10 episode run, but the show was so popular, we kept it going after I finished studying, and has now become my #1 priority as an aspiring Motorsport journalist. Luckily, I was able to graduate in July of 2015 with a Second-class honours, upper division degree.

I’ve only started committing to #Motorsport101 in January of 2016, but since then, we’ve already had over 8,000 total plays since moving our library to Soundcloud, as well as over 650 YouTube Subscribers, amassing over 20,000 total views. I’ve also been a major part of Downforce Radio’s “#BikeLive” weekly radio show, which has had 15,000 total plays and over 5,000 total downloads since its inception in August 2014, a show I’m very proud to be a part of with long-time partners Louis Suddaby and Rebecca James. My work has also featured for Sports Gaming blog “Operation Sports” and on “Bleacher Report” as a WWE featured columnist. I was also the Top 5 video maker for RaceWorldTV, amassing over 1,000,000 lifetime views on YouTube, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV.

In 2022, my life changed forever when WTF1 approached me to work as one of the new content creators to fill the void that Tom Bellingham, Matty Gallagher and Katy Fairman. After a year there, I was picked up by the Motorsport Network in a new role there as a Production Coordinator, orchestrating their Podcast output. It’s been a heck of a journey, and who knows what’s to come. Thanks for your supporting me and our work!
